A Social Observation - Sounding Smarter than you Actually are VERSION 2

Today's post shall be short and rather controversial (not really but it let's me say i told you so if you disagree).

Let me equip you:
per se
so forth
and so on
so to speak

Using these terms at the right time in a casual manner is the key to sounding like you know more than you actually do. They also allow you to not have to think deeply about what you're saying.I have witnessed the use of these phrases first hand this semester at uni in one of my lectures. These are terms that no one really thinks about when people use them in everyday language.

Try them in any sentence.
Eg: Ford make the best cars in Australia  due to their quality standards, customer orientation , competitive pricing and so on.

And so on? Tell me more. Oh wait, you can't actually think of anything else but i am going to just believe that you know more about this topic.

Eg: Generation Y employees are more likely to change careers and jobs more frequently than Gen X per se.

Per se?Per se? Shut your mouth you aren't that smart.

Eg: People put on weight due to a lack of exercise, unhealthy lifestyle, bad eating habits and so on.
and so on? What else is there?

*A note before you reply (this is specifically directed at someone with the initials M.H whom i know is going to argue this )
#1. I don't want some dumb reply about how you can't use them in every sentence and so on.
#2. I don't want a list of other reasons why people put onweight ie: binge eating, genetics and so forth.

Much lotty love all.

A Superwog Breakfast - A post dedicated to Greg Krooza

Best way to start a weekend - breakfast with Greg Kroooooosarastsastsastysky.

Let me tell you a bit about Greg.
FOUR FUN FACTS
#1Greg is the kind of guy that does what he wants when he wants. As someone that likes to take care of business, i respect that. He wears jeans that cut off circulation to every part of his anatomy, but he doesn't care.
#2Greg doesn't care what anyone thinks about him. Greg moons social norms with his behaviour. It's magical.
#3Greg is Macedonian. Greg went to Salesian College in Oakleigh (wog central). He is 100% pure certified wog blooded, but doesn't act like it. The beauty of this is that when he wants to act like a wog he is so legit that it's incredible to watch.
#4Greg has a greater love for guitars that he does for women. So for the ladies out there if you want to get to know Greg better learn these words: FENDER, P-BASS,AMP, EFFECTS, PEDAL, ERNIE BALL, VINTAGE. That will get you to about 1minute of conversing until Greg realises you aren't legit and gives you a 'Fulleh sick backhand bro.'

We both had the most perfect toast of our lives. It was incredible. It's depressing to know that for the rest of my life it's all downhill from here when it comes to toast enjoyment. The ratio of butter-bread was impeccable.

We then headed across the road to music junction (some lamo music store). I finally was able to see and hold a Roland AX Synth.
On the way home while i was driving, Greg, inspired by Superwog, yelled, 'WHAT A HEAD,' to random people passing by. Greg does the things i want to do but never do. He is awesome.

Pretty boring day

Over the past few weeks i have not been eating well before going to the gym, eg - eating a piece of toast 10 mins before a work out (dumb).

Today was different, today i was going to eat so i could go all out, i was going to make TWO eggs worth of scrambled eggs on toast.

Two eggs ready to mix, bit of milk in there- OH that's right, the milk has gone off, even though the used by date is March 27. Awesome start.

WANT TO NOT GET BORED? SKIP THE NEXT THREE PARAGRAPHS!!!!

Made and ate breakfast, went to gym. Good warm up, 5 mins worth of picking up and putting down slosh balls. Slosh balls are plastic water filled balls weighing, 25kg, 20kg and 10kg i believe. Did 50 reps.
Then proceeded to military press kettlebells over my head (with a fully stuffed up wrist) did 36x 16kg in total.
Then came the killer...10 rounds of 20x 20kg kettlebell swings. Seriously turns you into a Russian (russians are the creators/kings of kettlebells).

I needed to go to some op shops to find a pair of brown pants. You see, i am going to a disney dress up party as the old man from Up. Thanks to my genius decision making i decided to leave home at 4:20 ish. Got to op shop #1 at 4:30. Sign says it closed at 4:30. Not to worry i thought, i'll just drive to the next one. I knew where i had to go and i set off. Decided i wanted a bit of adventure and that i would drive through suburbia to get to my destination. Had no idea where i was going... just knew i had to go north.... (now here is the miracle - for those that know me i have terrible directional ability)... i ended up on the very road i was trying to find (i dont even know the name, seriously blew my mind how i had made it there). After parking my car,  i made my way to op shop #2 and it had closed at 4:30. Tried the one across the road, it closed at 4:45 - looked at phone, it was 4:45 exactly. Awesome.
Determined not to make my trip a waste, i decided to go to NQR (not quite right). NQR sells super cheap groceries that are slightly defected or only have a small amount of time before they reach their used by date. I had only ever been there once as a kid when they first opened.  I walked into a curry dream.
I made 3 purchases.
1x Dilmah Green Tea. This green tea contains 25 sachets of 5 DIFFERENT GREEN TEAS. How much you ask? $1.
2x Bulla Greek Style Gourmet Yoghurt. This is the quality stuff - $1.25 each.

Total Spend $3.50
I was happy with that.

A little bit of efficiency

A day of minor efficiency.

Woke up at 10am. Read a 9 page report on industrial relations in Australia, highlighted relevant bits. Had breakfast, brushed my teeth, showered, changed, packed my bag and drove to uni. Arrived in class at 11am.

Prescribed class time - 1.5 hours, 11am- 12:30 pm. Class finished 10 minutes early. Drove to chadstone. Picked up free lunch at Bakers Delight via connections (Justin). Wholemeal cheesymite scroll, still warm. Started work at 12:45. Had 15 minute break at 3:10pm. Kept in touch with the world via facebook. Finished work at 5:45pm.

Shopped for a bow tie. Paid $15 at Myer. Answered numerous phone calls while shopping. Named dropped the Middle East to random JB manager, *doh!*

Bought birthday card for nanna.

Arrived home and watched Carlton effortlessly beat Richmond.

Didn't really take care of business in any specific way today.

Welcome to my blog, Takin' Care of Business.

I'd like to write something here that is thought provoking, entertaining and humorous; but when you're taking care of business you don't have time for that.

K thanks bye.
